Plans for Building Your Own Aquarium
From Start to Finish

Well, to start building your aquarium, make sure you have all of your supplies together, and take your 3/4 inch ACX plywood, laying ontop of a couple of 2X4s, and make your marks at two feet on each end...Measure from the same side in case there is some variation in the width of the plywood (although there shouldn't be, it sometimes happens)

Here you can see where I've made my marks, and snapped my line that I'll cut with my skillsaw.

Set the skillsaw blade's depth so that it is just barely below the edge of the plywood...as you can see, my blade is kinda old, but its still plenty sharp enough to do the job...I also don't suggest you have the safety guard locked back as I do here.

After cutting the plywood in half, and running a bead of marine adhesive down the edge, I set the two pieces together in an "L" shaped position, and carefully line up the edges so that they're nice and flush, and then I secure one end with a screw, and then I go to the other end, and line it up, and secure it as well.

Its important to note here, that all of the sides of your aquarium should rest ontop of the bottom piece of plywood so that you have the same dimensions for the end pieces, and maximum strength for the aquarium.
